The City of Kettering proudly welcomes the 37th Mid East Cross Country Championship to Indian Riffle Park on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024.
Since its inception, the Mid East Cross Country Championship has been a launching pad for countless collegiate running careers, featuring athletes competing at the highest levels of NCAA competition. The championship is the region’s most elite gathering of cross-country talent, bringing together 72 of the Midwest’s most accomplished senior runners.
The selection of Indian Riffle Park and the Kettering Recreation Complex as the venue highlights our city’s commitment to athletic excellence. The challenging course and top-tier facilities have made Kettering the perfect host for this remarkable display of competitive running.
This year’s championship, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, will showcase 36 male and 36 female athletes—the top 12 seniors selected from each participating state: Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. The women’s race begins at 11:00 AM, followed by the men’s race at 11:30 AM, with a celebratory banquet and awards ceremony completing this prestigious event.
The Mid East Championship represents not just a race but a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and excellence of high school athletics in our region.
