Cycle Kettering is partnering with the Rails to Trails Conservancy to celebrate the two regional trails that pass through Kettering – #19 Dayton Kettering Connector and #9 Iron Horse Trail on Saturday, April 27.
Check in for the ride is at 9am. Cycling to the event is encouraged, but street parking is available along Hempstead Station. If you plan to participate please fill out and print the Cycle Kettering Waiver – Google Docs. Departure will be from the Hempstead Station Trailhead at 9:15 and cycle 5.5 mi. to the northern end of the Iron Horse Trail within the boundaries of Kettering at the Spaulding & trail intersection. On the return trip debris will be picked up along the route to beautify the Iron Horse Trail for other users this spring. Additional celebration will be under a canopy at the Hempstead Station trailhead with an estimated return time of 11:45 am.
