Mayor’s Tree Lighting
We are excited to see you in Lincoln Park for our 2024 Kettering Mayor’s Tree Lighting. On Friday, Dec. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. Join Mayor Peggy Lehner and your Kettering neighbors to see the Kettering tree and Lincoln Park Civic Commons light up for the season. The Kettering Children’s Choir will be there to sing carols, and we will have hot chocolate and cookies for all to enjoy. You also do not want to miss taking a carriage ride around Lincoln Park.
The Mayor’s Tree Lighting and all of the event’s activities are free and open to all.
The holidays are a time to give back to your community and this year we are pleased to support the Kettering Backpack Program. Be sure to bring a donation during the event. You can view a list of needed items and also donate online HERE. Kettering Backpack is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization that provides discreet bags of food to Kettering children in need every Friday for consumption over the weekend.
Our Santa Paws event will again be held in conjunction with the Mayor’s Tree Lighting. Bring your cameras and your pups along to get the perfect photo! Use our props and backgrounds right at Lincoln Park.
As always, we offer various ways to help your family celebrate the season.
* Holiday Arts & Crafts Show at the Lathrem Senior Center is on Nov. 9
* The Rosewood Holiday Arts Festival is on Dec. 7
* The Twilight and Flashlight Candy Cane Hunts are on Dec. 15
* Santapalooza is on Dec. 21
We hope to see you at the Mayor’s Tree Lighting and all season long as we celebrate the season together!
