Kyren Gantt Selected as Next Economic Development Manager

Next Economic Development Manager, Ky Gantt pictured hereThe City of Kettering is pleased to announce the selection of Kyren (Ky) Gantt to serve as Kettering’s next Economic Development Manager. Mr. Gantt will commence his service on Monday, Nov. 4.

Mr. Gantt, a Kansas native and retired United States Air Force veteran, brings a wealth of experience in community and economic development to Kettering. He has worked for the City of Dayton and, most recently, for the City of Huber Heights in community and economic development roles.

With his diverse background and commitment to public service, Gantt is poised to make significant contributions to Kettering’s economic growth strategy. His collaborative approach and dedication to community development align perfectly with the City of Kettering’s vision and strategic plan.

City Manager Matt Greeson stated, “We are thrilled to welcome Ky to our team. His unique blend of service, academic achievements, and hands-on experience in economic development makes him an ideal fit for this crucial role. We’re confident that Ky’s leadership and relationship expertise will help drive Kettering’s economic development initiatives forward.”

Gantt said, “I’m honored to join the City of Kettering team and look forward to contributing to the community’s economic growth and development. My experiences have taught me the importance of collaborative efforts in fostering sustainable economic progress, and I’m excited to bring this approach to Kettering.”

Gantt holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Arizona State University and a Master of Public Administration Degree from Villanova University. He is currently completing his professional credentialing from the Ohio Economic Development Association and is a member of the current Leadership Dayton class.

Active in community service, Gantt serves on the SICSA and Huber Heights YMCA Board of Directors. He also coaches the Wayne Lady Warriors Junior Varsity Basketball Team, demonstrating his commitment to youth development and community engagement.

Ky and his wife, Shabre, reside in Huber Heights with their four children. His appointment underscores Kettering’s commitment to bringing in top talent to serve its community and drive economic progress.
